Stacey's Rhythm - Kapa'a, Kaua'i
THE RHYTHMS OF WOMEN, VOL. 1
“Being a parent has its own challenges and struggles. Having a child with multiple health conditions makes the struggle seem a bit more overwhelming. Crippling at times. When I surround myself with supportive, strong, loving, empowered people, that struggle is tamed. Less heavy. Their support of me, and my whole family, warms me from the inside out. They keep me grounded. They keep me on course. Their positivity wraps around us like an invisible cloak that keeps our confidence and strength from floating away. Right now I feel like I'm at the peak of summer. When the days are long and the sun sets, the sky becomes clear, you can see a million stars, and the air is warm and welcoming. Ever since the lockdown all those months ago, it forced my family to slow down. It forced us to just be. No work, no school, just us. And it just so happened that this was the reset our family needed. It was amazing. Since then, it's carried on throughout the year. It didn't only bring my family tightly in, it rekindled the absolute love and relationship with my best of friends. We've created this circle of unstoppable women. My marriage is great. Benn (my son) is thriving with distance learning and Iris (my daughter) has never been healthier. Right now the sun is shining right above my head and it feels wonderful.”
